A “modern European” restaurant situated in the antiques mall on Upper Street. The decor is light and airy, very nice in the summer, don't know what it's like in the winter. Not cheap, but not expensive; starters around £7, main courses around £15 (as of December 2006). Not sure how often they change the menu, but they definitely do change it.

Visit by Kake (for a birthday dinner), Tuesday 25 July 2006: My main memory of this meal was the lovely beetroot salad that accompanied the smoked salmon starter; the beetroot was raw, and had been marinaded in a sweetened vinegar. The food certainly wasn't unimaginative. The service was good; attentive without being obtrusive. I'd make a special journey to come here. I wouldn't “pop in” just to refuel, since the prices and quality are slightly too high for that, but if someone invited me out to dinner here then I wouldn't say no!
