Harringay is an area of North London, within the London Borough of Haringey. It's roughly diamond-shaped, and centred on a fairly long and busy street called Green Lanes. The southern point of Harringay is roughly Manor House Station at the intersection of Green Lanes with Seven Sisters Road, and the northern point is roughly Turnpike Lane Station, where Green Lanes turns into Wood Green High Road.

Green Lanes itself is along the lines of a local high street, with a number of Turkish ocakbasi (barbecue/grill) restaurants/cafes as well as various grocery shops and pound shops. The streets leading off to the west of it are mostly residential; highly rectilinear and bisected by an alleyway called Haringey Passage, they're known as the Harringay Ladder (see this obsessive blog post on the subject, with many photos).
