East London postal district covering Wapping and Shadwell to the south, Stepney in the east, Spitalfields and Whitechapel in the north, and Aldgate to the west. It also contains Brick Lane and is mostly within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (with a little in Hackney to the north).
It crosses the River Thames at Tower Bridge, as well as by Marc Brunel's railway tunnel between Wapping Station and Rotherhithe Station, and by road tunnel between Wapping and Rotherhithe.
