Micropub in Winchmore Hill, in the Good Beer Guide.

The interior seating is a mix of sofas, high benches, padded church pews, and even a couple of old bus seats. More seating is out the front, on old beer kegs with added padding on the tops. One wall is exposed brick, adorned with musical instruments and photos of customers. The other wall and the ceiling are painted green, appropriately, and bunting and fairy lights are strung here and there.

Kake visited on a Friday afternoon in November 2018. There were already two other customers when I arrived shortly after their opening time of noon, and two others turned up shortly afterwards. No music was playing. Service was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the other customers were all very friendly too.

There were four real ales on, all priced at £3.80/pint (or £3.50/pint with CAMRA discount): New River Pumped Up, Animal Golden Dragon, Pig & Porter Red Spider, and Pig & Porter Blackbird. They also had nine real ciders on draught, plus more in bottles in the fridge.

They don't do any food other than pickled eggs and things like crisps and nuts.

Kake's verdict: My favourite of this year's new Good Beer Guide entries. I'd like to come here again, even though it's on the other side of London from my house.

Child-friendliness: According to the Little Green Dragon website as of September 2018, accompanied children are permitted until 6pm.

Accessibility: No steps to get in. There's a small step (less than an inch) to the toilets.
