[[bob]], [[Northern Steve]], [[elvum]], and Claire visited on a Thursday evening in March 2009. Our visit coincided with a beer festival, which was being held under a canopy in the courtyard garden. The beers were all very good, and the barbecue food was pretty good too (£4 for chicken, beef, or sausages, all served with salad). It would have been great in summer. |

The beers available were all very good. The bbq food at £4 was pretty good. The beer fest was under a canopy in thier courtyard garden. It would have been really good in summer. The bar inside is quite nice and they do food on a mezzanine above the bar. [[Northern Steve]] and [[bob]] felt it would be worth a visit when there is no beer festival. They have 3 hand pulls on the bar. On our visit they also seemed to have poly pins of cider but that may just have been for the beer festival. |

[[Northern Steve]] and [[bob]] both felt it would have been worth a visit even without the beer festival; the interior is quite nice, they have three handpulls on the bar, and they do food on a mezzanine above the bar. They also seemed to have polypins of cider on our visit, but this may have just been for the beer festival. [[bob]] has been to two more beer festivals at this bar since then. Both of them have been pretty good. There was no bbq the last time but that may have been because of the rain.
