Cheese shop near South Kensington Station.

It's quite a small shop, but still has seating for about 16-20 people. Eat-in options include open sandwiches, which are displayed in the window. They do cheese and wine tasting evenings every other Thursday (according to their website as of July 2009).

As well as a wide selection of French and British cheeses, they also sell a couple of types of bread and a small selection of oils, vinegars, and meats. They may also sell bottles of wine — they certainly offer wine by the glass if you're eating in.

Kake visited on a Wednesday afternoon in July 2009. I had no trouble getting the attention of a staff member to advise me on the cheeses, and her selection (St Felicien) was a good one, if pricy (£7.80, including a ramekin that I didn't particularly want). A smallish loaf of raisin and walnut bread was £3.50.

Accessibility: Ramp down to get in.
