Small cafe-style Indian restaurant in [[Locale Wembley|Wembley]]. It seats just 30 or so in a fairly plain space with white-painted walls and a linoleum floor. Tables are black wood-effect melamine, and chairs are wooden and mismatched. At the back is a service counter with a large open kitchen behind. There's another room in the basement, though it's not clear whether this is ever used for anything other than catered events. Jugs of tap water sit ready on the tables, with an array of glasses on a counter to one side for customers to help themselves. Cutlery also sits in holders on the tables — forks and spoons only. For those eating with their hands, there's a hand-washing station against one wall. [[Kake]] visited on a Tuesday lunchtime in November 2018. There were just two other customers when I arrived around 12:30pm, with two more turning up while I was there. No music was playing. Egg ghotala (£7.50) [https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/44948998585/ photo] consisted of eggs three ways. On the base was a well-fried but not overcooked omelette, topped with a hard-yolk fried egg and then a serving of boiled egg bhurji — a savoury curry made with grated boiled egg. The flavours were well-balanced overall, and the textures nicely varied. This was garnished with plentiful quantities of chopped red onion, tomato, and fresh coriander. There was possibly a little too much raw onion for my taste, but I appreciated the freshness added by the tomato and coriander. Chapati (50p) was OK, though microwaved rather than freshly made. Service was helpful, guiding me toward the menu item I was trying to find and giving good advice on what to have with it. No service charge was added to the bill. Accessibility: No steps to get in, but the toilet (a single unisex cubicle) is in the basement, down a flight of stairs with a handrail on one side and three bends on the way down. (Also, there was no toilet roll or soap on our visit.)
