Randomness Guide to London - Differences between Version 6 and Version 4 of Islington Tapas Bar, N1 2SA

Version 6 Version 4

Used to be a decent enough tapas place in Islington, just off Upper Street. Now closed and turned into yet another branch of La Tasca.
Decent enough and reasonably-priced tapas place just off Upper Street. Other reviews on the interweb have pointed out that they tend to be understaffed, and our experience doesn't contradict this.

The information below is retained for people who want to know what this place used to be like.
On a visit by Kake (in the company of Bob) on a Tuesday in December 2006, they had bocquerones, meatballs, aubergine baked with cheese, tuna salad, patatas bravas, deep-fried squid rings, and chorizo y vino. The bocquerones (fresh anchovies in vinegar) were good. The aubergine was good too, but then I really like aubergine. The squid was possibly a little rubbery, but then squid's hard to get right. Might well come back if I was in the area and fancied tapas; wouldn't make a special journey.
