Good Beer Guide pub. Despite the name, it's in Crouch End, not Harringay.

The place is a traditional boozer decked out in wood panelling (but certainly not the stripped bare, gastro style you'll see elsewhere in this neighbourhood). There are plenty of Irish-themed decorations (framed photos of famous Irish sons), though that aspect certainly isn't overwhelming. The proprietor also likes his horse racing, as the racing calendar is also pinned up on the wall, and racing plays on the television.

On a visit in March 2008, they had Adnams Broadside and Deuchars IPA (£2.90/pint) and Courage Best Bitter (£2.35/pint), as well as the usual range of lagers. It wasn't too busy in the late-afternoon, with only a few locals gathered around watching the horse racing. Quite a pleasant atmosphere, in fact.

No food, but according to the Good Beer Guide they do filled rolls lunchtimes and early evenings.

There is also a dart board, and a small beer garden out the back with a few tables, primarily used by the smokers.
