Good Beer Guide pub serving Young's. The food is very good. Food served until 10:30pm Sunday-Thursday and until 11pm Friday-Saturday.
Currently (July 2007) the main bar is undergoing refurbishment to provide outdoor seating for smokers, with rain cover and heating. The rest of the pub is open though.

Comment added by Kake: Free wireless internet via The Cloud - ask at reception for a 24-hour username and password. Available to pub customers as well as hotel guests.
Pot of tea cost £1.70 and is enormous.
Piped music a bit annoying... and has just started playing adverts! Could be a radio station with no talking?
