The landlady bought the pub some time around early 2007, and [http://www.wharf.co.uk/2011/09/sir-ian-mckellen-why-i-took-ov.html sold it on] to Sir Ian McKellen, Sean Mathias, and Evgeny Lebedev in 2011. An anonymous commenter (October 2011) tells us that dogs are welcome, but must be on a lead at all times.
