According to the Wetherspoons website, this is one of their Lloyds No. 1 sub-brand, but it really isn't obvious from the interior.

Entry is into a seating area, with a flatscreen to one side. A little further back, a row of booths runs along the wall opposite the bar, with a little natural light coming in via small windows (which give a view onto the trade waste bins in the alley alongside). It's a fairly typical Wetherspoons shop conversion at this point; long, narrow, low-ceilinged, and dimly lit.

Further back, however, up a few steps, there's also a wood-panelled back room with a more pleasant feel. This space has a few more booths, another flatscreen, and plenty of normal chairs and tables.

[[Kake]] and [[bob]] visited on a Saturday early evening in September 2012. Despite the twelve handpumps on the bar, there were only six real ales on offer, only two of which were particularly interesting: Greene King IPA, Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen, London Pride, Rebellion Blonde, and Holdens Black Country Special. The Holdens was on the verge of being off, though not quite bad enough to take back.

There were lots of people in when we arrived around 6pm, though still a few free seats. No music was playing. The flatscreens were on, but with the sound off.

Accessibility: A very shallow ramp to get in. Step-free to the bar, some of the seating (including booths), and the RADAR-locked accessible toilet once you're in. A fair bit of the seating is in the back room, up three steps with a handrail; the other toilets are accessed via here too, up a straight flight of stairs with a sturdy handrail on both sides.
