Pub in Chesham.
It's divided into two bars, both traditionally decorated. To the left is the Museum Bar, where a patterned carpet gives way to varnished floorboards around the bar. The dark wood panelling around the walls is covered with old photos of Chesham pubs of the past. In accordance with the pub's name, hunting-related paraphernalia is everywhere — horse brasses, hunting horns, rifles, ammo belts, stuffed birds, and horned animal skulls. A wood-burning stove sits in a brick-built fireplace, flanked by a cast-iron kettle and a set of bellows. The other side has a dartboard and pool table, and there's outside seating at the front, too.
Kake visited on a Wednesday afternoon in September 2015. There were two other customers in when I arrived around 2pm, sitting at the bar and chatting to the bartender, though one of them left shortly after. Daytime TV was playing through the speakers, though replaced by Absolute '80s music radio after a bit. A dog was asleep on a chair in one corner.
All four handpumps were on, offering Castle Rock Harvest Pale (£1.80/half), Spitfire, Bombardier, and Old Golden Hen.
According to a sign outside in September 2015 (and confirmed on their website in the same month), food is served 6pm-10pm Mon; noon-2:30pm and 6pm-10pm Tue-Sat; and noon-8pm Sun photo of menu as of Sep 2015.
There's free WiFi via The Cloud (requires registration, but doesn't seem to validate the information you give).
The pub was the original birthplace of Chesham Museum, which now has its own premises in the town centre.
Accessibility: A tiny step to get in, more of a ridge really. No steps to the ladies', but there's a tight turn to get in and the cubicle's a bit narrow. Gents' not checked.
