Pub in Twickenham, dating back as far as the 18th century at least photo of sign giving some of its history.

Note: The Fox is closed for refurbishment until 24 November 2011.

It's quite small inside, with a low ceiling, and is dimly lit even during the day. The ceiling shows exposed beams, the floor is bare floorboards, the tables are wooden, and much of the seating is church pew style. Framed vintage photos of the local area hang on the walls. There's a reasonably-sized beer garden out the back, part of it under cover.

Kake visited on a Thursday afternoon in May 2011. Real ales available were Nethergate IPA, Harvey's Sussex Best (£1.55/half), London Pride, Firefly Bitter, and Twickenham Naked Ladies. I didn't realise until I was just about to leave that they also had real cider on draught — Thatcher's Heritage, Orchard Pig, and Heck's Farmhouse — as well as Westons Organic and Addlestones Cloudy in bottles.

There were a few other customers there, though they were mostly sitting out in the beer garden. Music was playing (Amy Winehouse, Tom Petty, Supergrass, Fleet Foxes, The Redwalls)

According to signs seen in May 2011, food is served noon-3pm and 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri and noon-7pm Sat-Sun; also, it's over-21s only; also, they have a bookable function room (which however will be turned into a kitchen as part of the abovementioned refurb, according to Richmond & Hounslow CAMRA).

Accessibility: Two steps down to get in at the front entrances. One or two more steps to get to the toilets and beer garden.
