Food For Thought was a cheap and cheerful vegetarian cafe in [[Locale Covent Garden|Covent Garden]]. After several decades' service, it [http://web.archive.org/web/20200116021418/http://foodforthought-london.co.uk/news.html closed down for good] in June 2015. The information below is retained for historical purposes. <div class="old_info"> Cheap and cheerful vegetarian cafe in [[Locale Covent Garden|Covent Garden]] that has been going for decades. She adds: "There are usually at least two vegan choices daily. Portions are large and water is provided in jugs from which to help yourself. It is good, honest, home-style vegetarian and vegan food that is reasonably priced." Adam visited with a friend for lunch on a Sunday in November 2014 — it was quite closely packed downstairs but there didn't seem to be lots of waiting for seats. Food sampled was a Japanese stew (£5.50) which was served in a bowl on rice, and was enjoyable, generous on the shiitake mushrooms and tofu, and a stir-fried vegetable dish (£5) that was also good; both dishes were vegan and there was also a lasagne and quiche that were vegetarian but not vegan. The salads and desserts looked good but we didn't get to try them. Place was a little more crowded than we'd've liked and reasonably spartan in decor, but I'd happily come back. Menu is on website.
