A traditional locals' pub on the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs, near Island Gardens Station.

It may not look much from outside, but this place is a perfectly friendly place for a simple beer. Although Kake and Ewan's visit on a Monday afternoon in September 2008 yielded only a couple of regulars propping up the bar and a stray few Japanese tourists, it seemed pleasant enough and welcoming.

Only one ale on handpull, Courage Best Bitter (£1.20/half pint), along with the standard lager selection. Kake asked for a glass of tap water too, but the landlady apologised and said that the tap in the bar area was currently unusable.

No evidence of food. There are a couple of dart boards, and apparently a pool table upstairs.

Accessibility: Two steps up to get in from the front door. Everything's on the same level once you're in. An anonymous visitor (December 2008) tells us that there is "low level access" from the side door - not sure if this means step-free access or simply a low step, though.
