Historical version 5 of Ferry House, E14 3DT (view current version)

A traditional locals' pub on the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs, near Island Gardens Station.

It may not look much from outside, but this place is a perfectly friendly place for a simple beer. Although Kake and Ewan's visit on a Monday afternoon in September 2008 yielded only a couple of regulars propping up the bar and a stray few Japanese tourists, it seemed pleasant enough and welcoming.

Only one ale on handpull, Courage Best Bitter, along with the standard lager selection. Kake asked for a glass of tap water too, but the landlady apologised and said that the tap in the bar area was currently unusuable.

No evidence of food, pool table upstairs and there are a couple of dart boards.

Accessibility: Two steps up to get in from the front door, low level access from the side door; everything's on the same level once you're in.
