A traditional locals' pub on the southern tip of the Isle of Dogs, near Island Gardens Station.

It may not look much from outside, but this place is a perfectly friendly place for a simple beer. Although Kake and Ewan's visit on a Monday afternoon in September 2008 yielded only a couple of regulars propping up the bar and a stray few Japanese tourists, it seemed pleasant enough and welcoming.

Only one ale on handpull, Courage Best Bitter (£1.20/half pint), along with the standard lager selection. Kake asked for a glass of tap water too, but the landlady apologised and said that the tap in the bar area was currently unusuable.

No evidence of food, or of the pool that a sign outside mentions, but there are a couple of dart boards.

Accessibility: Two steps up to get in; everything's on the same level once you're in.
