Small, friendly pub tucked away in the backstreets of Fitzrovia.

It serves Greene King IPA, Speckled Hen, and the odd guest ale. There are a few outside tables under an awning, usually occupied by smokers. Gets extremely busy with office workers on weekday evenings, lunchtimes are generally quieter.

Recently refurbished, the upstairs room has a reasonable amount of seating and large windows to let in the daylight (downstairs remains quite murky). The staircase is very narrow though - not enough room for two people to walk past each other carrying pints, for instance.

Unfortunately, on Spring 2009 visits Kat has found the ale to be adequate at best (IPA) and stomach-upsetting at worst (Speckled Hen). Recommend opting for a bottled beer or a Guinness instead.
