However very little changed in terms of decor (aside from a coat of paint and a new carpet), and the ambience remained the same — a proper old-style real ale pub.

There's patio seating out the front, as well as a fairly sizeable space out the back, and a basement bar is available for hire.

On [[Kake]]'s July 2013 visit, the ales were London Pride, Sharp's Special, Dark Star Hophead, and three from the Plain Ales brewery: Hairy Hooker (&pound;1.75/half), Innspiration, and Inn The Sun.
