The interior of this large corner pub is broken up somewhat by dividing walls and narrow pillars. The decor has mock-industrial touches, such as an exposed brickwork feature wall, distressed wood flooring, and oversized "bare bulb" lighting [https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/24625671084/ photo]. A few interesting original features are retained, including stained glass detailing and mouldings at the tops of the pillars.
It serves a decent enough range of beer, with four ales on tap including Deuchars IPA, London Pride, Ubu and one other (March 2008).

Much of the seating is on generously-sized banquettes, though a few freestanding tables and chairs are available too, with a fair bit of space is left clear for vertical drinking. Real flower buds sit in Kernel Brewery bottles on the tables.
As of October 2008, food is served noon-2:30pm and 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri; noon-10pm Sat; and noon-7pm Sun.

Another room upstairs is used for live music and open mic nights. There's also a patio-style beer garden to one side, with covered booths [https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/25163148251/ photo], open noon-9:30pm every day as of February 2016.
[[Bob]] comments (August 2007): The London Pride was certainly drinkable. The food was pretty good. The squid and preserved lemon risotto was very tasty at about £8 (available as a smaller portion as well). The burger was very good as well, obviously homemade and cooked to order (shame my brother ordered it done medium well). They have separate lunch and evening menus.

[[Kake]] visited on a Tuesday lunchtime in February 2016. There were a handful of people in when I arrived a little before 2pm, some of them just finishing lunch. Music was playing, not too loud. Service was friendly and enthusiastic.
The toilets are at the back and you determine the gender by looking at the pictures above the doors. This seems to catch a lot of people out.

There were five real ales on the handpumps: four from Fuller's (Seafarers, London Pride, Oliver's Island, and Jack Frost), and one guest (Stod Fold Blonde). They also had a fair few keg taps including Fuller's Black Cab stout. A pint of lime and soda was £1.30.
There seems to be a another room upstairs used for live music and comedy. There is also a beer garden.

There was also a real cider on handpump (Nell Gwynne), and several more on gravity behind the bar, the remnants of a recent cider festival. According to a member of staff, they have a bit more freedom in ordering drinks than your average Fuller's pub, and they have their own specialist independent cider supplier.
[[Ewan]] comments (March 2008): The Deuchars IPA was excellent as ever (£2.90/pint). The Ubu had a sharper taste but was still very drinkable.

The pub has the standard darkened gastro ambience, with mock chandeliers, dark leather seats and tables at varying heights including a long table with high chairs between the door and the bar, surrounded by smaller tables. There is a longer table with banquette chairs in the corner by the front windows, separated from its neighbours by a glass divider, and was reserved on our visit. All the other tables were full by 6pm on a Wednesday evening.
