This well-regarded corner pub was closed and demolished in 2014. There may yet be [http://www.kentishtowner.co.uk/2013/03/13/wednesday-picture-crown-goose-camden-doomed-its-official/ a bar] replacing it on the same site.

Tucked away on the corner of Arlington Road and Delancey Street in Camden Town, this is a somewhat gentrified "local" rather than the usual Camden vertical drinking venue or sleazy hole.

Wooden floors, cheerful staff, borderline-gastropubby food and a decent pint of Pride make this a nice place to while away a few hours. They also serve a pretty good Leffe. The wine is pretty decent as well.

It was fairly busy when Kerry visited on a Tuesday evening in March 2011, although I was able to get a table with no problem when I arrived at 6pm. My gnocchi with sage and butternut squash (£9) was excellent, and my friend's lamb tagine (£11.50, from the specials board) was also good and well seasoned. Portion sizes were substantial and filling. The lime and lemongrass creme brulee (£5) was again very good, and my friend's fruit crumble (£5, served with cream) was reportedly good and not too tart. The Adnams Lighthouse was well kept. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and checked in after our food had arrived without being overly solicitous.

On a Monday evening during summer, everyone was sat out along Arlington Rd and inside was empty, stretching out around the bar which sits in the centre of the room.

Food is served noon-3pm and 6pm-10pm Monday to Saturday, and noon-9pm Sunday.
