Wetherspoons pub near Surbiton Station.

It's fairly large inside, having once been a cinema (among other things). The walls are wood-panelled, the carpet is patterned with leaves, flowers, and berries, and the lighting is a mix of globes and chandelier-style.

Entry is into a relatively well-lit space with seating areas to either side. Steps lead up from here to the main part of the pub, with the bar running along one side, booths along the wall opposite, high tables and stools on the centre, and a double-height arched ceiling, painted dark blue and striped with ornate gilt mouldings. This dark blue theme continues onto the higher parts of the walls, where it acts as backdrop to a representation of the night sky, complete with moon, stars, and planets. Right at the back are steps leading up to a mezzanine which overlooks the rest of the interior.

Kake visited on a Monday afternoon in September 2017. There were a fair few people in when I arrived a little after 4pm, but still plenty of spaces to sit. No music was playing, as is usual for Wetherspoons, but there was a pleasant buzz of conversation.

The twelve handpumps on the bar were clipped for Oakham Hangar 17, Saltaire Onyx, Redemption Urban Dusk, Ringwood Forty Niner, Thornbridge Jaipur, J W Lees Moonraker, Surrey Hills Ranmore, Sambrook's Wandle, Sharp's Doom Bar, Wychwood Hobgoblin Gold, Greene King IPA, and Abbot Ale (all between £1.99 and £2.95/pint). Service was friendly and helpful.

Food is served all day from a chain-wide menu.

Accessibility: Two steps to get in, and several more to the bar. A couple more to most of the seating. There's a RADAR-locked accessible toilet on the same level as the bar; other toilets involve stairs.
