Historical version 1 of Chicago Rib Shack, SW1X 7PA (view current version)

Relatively famous rib place in Knightsbridge.

Restaurant and Bar across 2 floors. Can seat a lot of people.

bob, Martin and Phil visited on a Thursday night in November. There was no problem finding us a table. It was busy but nowhere near full.

We all went for a full rack of Meaty St Louis cut ribs(£16.75) which came with a small pot of coleslaw and a smallish bit of Corn on the Cob. The corn was either very tender or overcooked. The ribs were meaty and tasty. The bbq sauce was fine and they do ask if you want more which is bought in a gravy dish. We also asked for soem chilli sauce so they provided us with a gravy dish of the sauce they do the buffalo wings in. French Fries (£3) were suitably crispy and a decent portion size. We also had the Manslaw(£3.95) as a side because its combination of cheese, meat and jalapenos appealed to us. This was actually really good.

For dessert bob had a key lime pie (£4.95) which was fine. Martin and Phil had the cheesecake(£4.95). They were out of both the special daily cheesecake and the Apple Pie.

They have a small range of bottled American craft beer at £4.20 a bottle. We enjoyed the Goose Island IPA and the Brooklyn Lager. Phil also had a Banana Milkshake (£3.95).

Accessibility Info:- No step to the entrance. However their are stairs to both floors from there. bob suspects the stairs to the ground floor may have a wheelchair useable stairlift given the toilet situation. Toilets are downstairs. From the ground floor there is a Wheelchair sized stairlift.
