Good Beer Guide pub in Borough.

As of May 2008, all real ales were £2.90, and the two Bob had were very good. House red wine was £4, and soda water was £1.

An anonymous commenter (April 2008) notes that there is a "very good selection of real ales, which is changed often, possibly too often. All in all very very good."

On a Friday evening visit in May 2008, six ales were listed (Harvey's Hadlow, Slaters Monkey Magic, Slaters Queen Bee, Adnam's Bitter, Champflower Ale, and Charles Dickens Ale), but only the Adnam's and Monkey Magic were actually on. The latter is a dark ale, quite low alcohol (3.4%) but very tasty.

Food is served lunchtimes and evenings Monday to Friday, and is a fairly standard pub food selection. They also do roast lunches from noon-6pm on Sundays. The open kitchen is in the back room of the pub, and hence that area smells quite strongly of cooking fat.

In good weather, there's a very small amount of outside seating on the street (as in two small tables and four chairs); however, an advert in the April/May 2009 London Drinker magazine states that they now have a beer garden too.

Quiz night is Wednesday from 8:30pm; entry is free.
