Comment added by Anonymous: Canal 125 is a bright and spacious venue overlooking the canal in Kings Cross. There's a good selection of drinks available especially if you like cocktails.

The staff are polite and friendly and during the daylight hours, the music is most definitely in the background. That changes when the sun sets at the weekends but during the daytime it's relaxed and comfortable.

There are two rooms upstairs, but I find myself always drawn to the main room downstairs. My overall impression is that the place is comfortable with plenty of different options. If you want nice sink into sofas; or prefer sitting upright at a table with friends; on a stool at the bar; or my favourite (weather permitting) is out on the terrace over the canal itself.

The food menu changes regularly except for the Sunday roasts which are always massive and delicious! Whatever you choose from that menu has a enormous Yorkshire Pudding sitting on top and is drenched in the most delicious gravy!

There's a good selection of beer in bottles and on tap and the wines are varied and from all over the world. If you do eat there, make sure you save some room for the amazing deserts, or walk it off along the canal on you way home ;-)
