Now closed; was a curry house in Docklands. According to Google Street View, it was closed and boarded up by May 2012.

The information below is retained for people who want to know what it was like.

Curry house in Docklands. Their website describes their cuisine as South Indian. They also offer takeaway and delivery, and you can order online from Hungry House or from Urbanbite.

Kake, bob, and doop tried out the delivery option in February 2008.

Of the starters, crab malabari (£5) was OK, though rather salty, while malai phool (£3.50) was just bizarre; a combination of broccoli, cauliflower, diced carrots, and stone-in green olives.

Main courses were about the same standard. Lamb taba (£6) had fairly tough chunks of lamb but also decently-cooked strips of red and green bell peppers, albeit in a scarily bright red sauce. Fish bhuna (£7) was OK. The fish component was still on the bone (I mention this because some people prefer it but others find it annoyingly fiddly).

Vegetable jalfrezi was (according to doop, our veg jalfrezi expert) nothing special, and a bit greasy. doop also mentioned that he would have preferred the fresh green chillis to be sliced rather than whole, to let their flavour permeate the dish a bit more. Rajistan patiala (£2.75) was disappointing; described as "cubes of butter and soft aubergines simmered in spiced tomatoes and onion masala, topped with golden fried cashew nuts", it was actually an overly-sweet mush of dairy-based stodge with a few stray cubes of aubergine (according to Kake, that is; bob liked it).

Rice and poppadoms were perfectly fine; poppadoms fairly light and not greasy. The accompanying chutneys were basically unidentifiable gloop of different colours, though the chopped onion relish was fine, and fresh enough.

We paid just over £40 in total for ample food for three people. We might order from here again, to try out some of the other menu options; but in general, our verdict so far is that the menu looks a lot more interesting than it actually is.
