According to the 2012 Good Beer Guide, dogs are welcome in the public bar and children are welcome in the lounge; also, there's a games room with three pool tables; also, there's a paved garden and a heated covered smoking area with a TV screen.
According to the Young's website as of September 2011, food is served noon-3pm and 5pm-9pm Mon-Fri, noon-8pm Sat, and noon-6pm Sun.
When bob visited in June 2012 the real ales on were Young's Special (£3.35/pint), Tribute, and Ordinary. They also had Thatchers Gold cider.
