Comment added by Eamonn: lovely homely pub, Con and Claire give all the cead mile failte, good music, good craic and good locals. Con and staff have looked after their customers here for 20 years and they are all still going back. great spot to watch a game... watch out for the super bacon and cabbage on paddy's day, A great spot for a good pint. |

Good Beer Guide pub in Forest Hill (towards the Catford end).
Not been here yet, but the interweb suggests it's something of an old-fashioned Irish local. Sounds good.
According to the Spring 2008 South-East London CAMRA newsletter, the Blythe Hill Tavern is the 2008 Pub of the Year for the South-East London branch area. It also mentions that there's a live Irish music session every Thursday night, and that the licensee (Con Riordan) has been with the pub for 20 years.
