Family-friendly cafe in East Dulwich. There is another branch in Sydenham.

Inside, the cafe is long and thin, and as a result the tables are rather packed in close together. Combined with its general popularity of a weekend, especially with parents and their children (many of them can be found in this area), and it could seem a little bit claustrophobic. However, there's plenty of light coming in from both front and back (where there is a small garden area), while the decor is a frenzy of colour.

The food is pretty good too, and good value -- in general, but especially for the area. Most lunch options are around £6-7, while breakfasts are a little cheaper. Ewan had a great vegetarian quiche with salad, simple but effective in its flavours photo. Jo's half butternut squash (a special that day) was nicely baked, with a perfect soft texture, and the natural blandness of the squash was overcome with a tasty rice filling. Some plantain chips on the side (£2) were also great.

Ewan has also had a tasty breakfast here in the past (see London Breakfast review below) photo.
