Fish and chip restaurant in Swanley. It's licensed to serve alcohol, with a drinks list including wine, lager, spirits, and even sherry and vermouth.
The space is long and narrow, stretching back from a small shopfront in Swanley's main shopping centre. Seating is provided by a row of half-height booths with black wood-effect melamine-topped tables, and a long banquette flanked by tables and freestanding chairs. The floor is hardwood and the decor is sea-themed, with ornamental anchors, portholes, and life preservers along the walls.
Kake and Pippa visited on a Tuesday lunchtime in August 2016. There were about eight other customers when we arrived a little after 1pm. No music was playing.
Kake went for the cod roe and chips (£5.20) plus a side order of peas (£1.80) photo. The roe was a generous portion, with nicely crisp batter, though somewhat greasier than ideal. The chips were proper ones, though I'd have preferred them cooked just a little longer. The peas were terrible — overcooked to the point of greyness.
Service was efficient, and tap water arrived swiftly in a glass with ice.
Accessibility: A steep but small ramp (really just a smoothed-over step) to get in. Step-free to toilets, including an accessible one.
