Friendly, traditional pub in Plaistow.
Kake visited on a sunny Wednesday afternoon in August 2008. Beers available were Archers One For The Road (£2.90), Adnams Bitter, and Broadside. The Archers was quite sour-tasting, but in a way that seemed as though it was meant to be like this (they did offer me a taster before I bought it, but I decided to just go for a pint straight off, so it's my own fault that I didn't like it). They have a board up opposite the bar showing which beers are on. Crisps (Tavern Snacks) were 50p. There was a TV showing some sort of sport (horseracing? It was faintly audible but not visible from where I was sitting). There were maybe ten other customers in, in small groups.
Food is served noon-2:30pm and 5pm-7:30pm Monday to Friday, according to a blackboard seen in August 2008.
It has a large beer garden, though according to the BITE comments linked below it used to be even larger.
Accessibility: Not sure if there's step-free access to the bar and main seating area - I came in via a lower entrance to a smaller seating area which has level access to toilets (and I think they're the only toilets) but three steps up to the main area with the bar.
