Bella Italia is a large chain, so I wasn't expecting much. In fact, solely because it is a chain I didn't really want to eat there because chains are almost always crap. But the area around Epsom High Street has nothing else. There's what looks like a poncy bar, a coupla sandwich shops, and a dodgy burger shop, that's it. So the chain restaurant was the best choice of a bad lot.

And I was pleasantly surprised. Service was a bit scatty but was at least quick and they fixed their screw-up (wrong starter) without being asked to. My pizza was cooked properly and full of flavour and everyone else (I was with a party of 9) seemed satisfied. The seats were comfortable. The lunch-time prices were reasonable.
