Comment added by Kake: Very shallow step up to get in (at front door - may be a side entrance). Armchair area also has small 2-seater sofa and an open fire (which may not be real). Four Fuller's usuals plus Jack Frost (3.15/pint). Side room downstairs is booked out. Only 3 or 4 customers at 5pm. Fairly quiet piped music.

Fuller's pub in Belgravia, close to Sloane Square Station.

A very friendly pub close to Sloane Square, with your regular downstairs bar and upstairs bar, but also a small "snug" off the upstairs bar furnished with leather chairs and a sofa. There is a small room off the downstairs bar as well, with three tables in it. There are two further tables at the front of the main room of the pub, and a seating area with leather armchairs down the back.

When Nick used the Antelope to host a London.pm social meeting in March 2007 they were happy to give us use of the upstairs room, and opened the upstairs bar for us, for no fee, which worked very well. However, as of April 2008 there is a £50 charge for the use of this room, and they had no memory of letting us have it for free the previous year.

On a visit in July 2008, ales on handpump were ESB, Pride, Chiswick and Discovery. Wine ranges from £3-£4.50 for a small glass.

Food is served noon-3pm and 6pm-9pm Monday to Wednesday, noon-3pm and 6pm-10pm Thursday and Friday, and noon-3pm only Saturday. Don't leave it to the last minute to order, as the kitchen staff (understandably) can decide they might want to close a little early if they have a last minute rush.

On Ewan's visit in July 2008, the couscous with roasted aubergines was very nice, possibly not quite justifying the almost £8 price. Service was also significantly slowed by a large group booking in the room upstairs. As such, and combined with the downpour outside, the downstairs bar got extremely crowded and slightly unpleasant.

Food in September 2008 was very disappointing. Steak and Ale pie was very salty, the mash was dry and the 'seasonal vegetables' consisted of a single floret of broccoli and some cauliflower that had evidently been languishing in the bottom of a fridge for too long. Bangers and mash had similar dry mash. Sausage sandwich was best of bunch but sausages were particular well done (read: dry). To add insult to injury the beer (Pride and Chiswick) was flat. Still a nice pub, but shame to see such poor food.
