This is a licensed cafe in the Whitechapel Art Gallery <small>[http://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/9970843376/ photo]</small> in [[Locale Whitechapel|Whitechapel]].  It's right next to one of the exits from [[Aldgate East Station]].

[[secretlondon]] went here one lunchtime for a meeting. It is very hard to find within the gallery &#8212; it is on the mezzanine level and you have to go through a gallery and up some back stairs. There is also a dining room downstairs which is a restaurant.

It is quite small &#8212; perhaps a dozen tables. They sell sandwiches and hot and cold drinks and had quiche and salad on the day I went. I had a sandwich and a bottle of water which came to about &pound;5. There was no background music and toilets are presumably in the gallery itself. It was light and pleasant.

Accessibility: Step-free access from the street via a staff-operated lift.
