Life was a Japanese restaurant/bar/shop/takeaway on [[Locale Old Street|Old Street]]. According to Google Street View, it closed down by mid-2016. The information below is retained for historical purposes. <div class="old_info"> A very trendy Japanese restaurant/bar/shop/takeaway on [[Locale Old Street|Old Street]]. The decor and music are certainly very eclectic. The window displays using Star Wars figures were quite fun. [[bob]] and [[Adam]] visited in September 2007. The food was very good and well presented. The £20 Life Lunch special included a large starter, miso soup, tempura, sashimi, sushi, and a dessert. The quality of the fish was very good. The rice in the sushi fell apart quite easily. Adam's ginger pork looked very nice. They have a lunch menu and a main menu. The main menu was scary, in terms of both prices and choice. The drinks were quite pricey; jasmine tea was £2.50, and a large white wine was about £5. The (unisex) toilets are downstairs, but there is a stairlift down to them. No disabled toilet though, and the cubicles are quite small, so that may be a moot point. There is a shop downstairs selling bizarre Japanese tat.
