Pub in [[Locale Limehouse|Limehouse]] with a dark and woody interior, a restaurant upstairs, and a little terrace seating about ten people, looking out onto the river. Served very tasty, hoppy Landlord on [[doop]]'s March 2007 visit, and the staff were very friendly. There are cycle racks conveniently across the road from the entrance to the pub. The landlady bought the pub some time around early 2007, and [http://www.wharf.co.uk/2011/09/sir-ian-mckellen-why-i-took-ov.html sold it on] to Sir Ian McKellen, Sean Mathias, and Evgeny Lebedev in 2011. An anonymous commenter (October 2011) tells us that dogs are welcome, but must be on a lead at all times.
