Cafe in a railway arch at [[Queens Road Peckham Station]], part of a small chain.

The space is used efficiently, with a service and cake display counter along one wall and a small open kitchen squeezed alongside.  A banquette lines the other wall, and small round marble-topped tables fill the rest of the space.  A shelf unit holds loaves of various types to take away.

Lights in spherical corrugated glass shades dangle from the similarly-corrugated arched ceiling, while trains rumble overhead.  There's a reasonably-sized outside seating area too.

[[Kake]] visited on a Tuesday morning in May 2019.  The place was nearly full when I arrived a little before 11am but I managed to find a space.  It remained fairly busy throughout my visit, though there were always at least a few free seats.  Music was playing, so quietly I couldn't tell what it was.

A croissant <small>[https://www.flickr.com/photos/kake_pugh/32937118627/ photo]</small> was huge but good, with a crisp exterior and soft inside.  It was served warm with butter and jam, though the flavour was good enough that both were unnecessary.  Earl Grey tea was made with a decent-quality teabag from Birchall.  The cup was pleasingly thick, and pre-warmed, but had an inconveniently small handle.

They have WiFi but it was very laggy on our visit.  The password is given on the table number holders that sit on each table.

Child-friendliness: There's a pull-down nappy change in the unisex loo.  There were a couple of children in during our visit

Accessibility: No steps to get in, and none to the toilet (a single accessible cubicle with a code lock &#8212; ask staff for the code).
