Robin Hood And Little John, DA6 8PF

Good Beer Guide pub in Bexleyheath. Note that according to the 2009 Good Beer Guide it's over 21s only.

The June/July 2008 edition of London Drinker carries the news that the Robin Hood And Little John is the Bexley branch Pub of the Year for the ninth year running. It also states that the pub has been run by the Johnson family since May 1980, and that home-cooked meals are served every lunchtime except Sunday.

Kake, bob, and Matthew visited on a Sunday evening in April 2009. The place was full of people chatting away, though we found a table without too much trouble. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering us a choice of "jugs" (handled dimpled glass mugs) or ordinary glasses to have our beer in, and pressing us to try a taster of the beer before we ordered. Brentwood Best was £2.95/pint; Harveys Sussex Best was also on (I forget the others). We also noticed chocolate bars on display behind the bar, unusual for a pub.

Our visit was brief, since it was late and we were tired, but we'd happily come back.

Accessibility: A step up to get into the ladies'.
