A popular pizza restaurant in Covent Garden which specialises in more unusual toppings.
Booking online is simple here, but calling up is better as we were offered a time not on the website. In any case, it gets quite busy, though its size means you may still be able to get a table.
The pizza oven dominates the restaurant reaching up from the basement to the upper floor. The reception is in between the two floors, at street level.
The range of pizzas is excellent, and the toppings tend towards the esoteric. The pizzas are doughy but nice, and not all the toppings involve cheese or tomato sauce, which can be odd. (Flickr photo of the Melbourne pizza, which features pumpkin, onion, brie and other things.) However, if one is willing to try something different, then Fire & Stone is an excellent option.
The general consensus was that it's fun to eat here but it's a bit on the gimmicky side.
