Stave Hill is a 30ft-high artificial mound in the middle of an ecological park in [[Locale Rotherhithe|Rotherhithe]]. At the top is a smashing view of London: you can easily see Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, the Gherkin, and the London Eye; look more carefully and you can see the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_Palace_Transmitter Crystal Palace transmitter]. There is a bas-relief map of the old docks at the top; it's fun trying to match it up with the view.
