A gastro-style pub just near Clapham North Station.

This once traditional pub has been given the trendy gastro makeover which judging from BITE comments hasn't been to the taste of all locals, and has left it with the stripped wooden floors, large sofas and plenty of tables. On Ewan's Saturday afternoon visit in November 2009, it was perfectly comfortable though hardly very busy at all, making it seem a little lifeless and empty (undoubtedly this would be different in the evenings). However, service from the single lady at the bar was very friendly and attentive.

There are two handpulls for ale hidden away behind a large pillar, therefore easy to miss for the casual visitor, except for a chalk sign in prominent position advertising the beers available (Adnam's Bitter and Broadside). There are also a decent range of draught lagers.

Food is advertised on what looks to be a decent menu, and there are plenty of bar snacks, including some intriguing 'home made crisps'. However, Ewan didn't sample the food on his visit.

Music was playing in the background, but not too loudly.
