A largely residential area to the east of the London Borough of Croydon, in CR0.

Addiscombe is a quiet, respectable area, with lots of Edwardian terraces of two-up, two-down houses with a bit of garden front and back. Where it passes through Addiscombe, Lower Addiscombe Road is a cluster of local shops, with a Co-op supermarket, a good butcher and greengrocer, a hardware shop, a branch of Barclay's, etc.

It is well-served by public transport, with a number of buses passing through it from east to west, and the Croydon Tramlink line cutting across its north-west corner. East Croydon Station, with its fast trains to London, is a 15-30 minute walk away, making Addiscombe a popular area for commuters.
