A friendly local in Marylebone.

This is certainly one of the better pubs in an area dominated by bland gastropubs and wine bars (mainly found on the High Street). It's a Greene King house, but a cosy and very friendly one.

Inside, the bar dominates the room, with banquette seating around the three outside walls, and additional chairs occupied by regulars along one end of the bar. There's some outdoor seating along the front, in a fenced-off area abutting what is a fairly quiet street. On a December 2008 visit, the heating was cranked way up, making it almost too warm, though it also made it seem cosier.

There are two handpulls, with Greene King IPA and Old Speckled Hen, perfectly well-kept. There's also a range of the usual lagers on draught.

On a Friday night visit in November 2012, the pub was fairly full at 6pm, though Kat and Ewan's small group managed to secure enough seats for everyone. By 9pm most of the after-work crowd had left, with only a few regulars remaining. Food was not being served that evening, however there were two different brands of pork scratchings available, as well as Scampi Fries (sadly no Bacon Fries).
