Inside, it's a single bare-boarded room with the bar prominent in the centre and an open kitchen to one side. Exposed brickwork is here and there, with retro wallpaper on the other walls. A bookcase stacked with board games is beside the door. Seating is mainly provided by old school chairs and tables, which look interesting but aren't particularly comfortable. There's also a pleasant enough enclosed area of decking at the front of the pub, with plants in boxes and pots.

Kake, bob, and Northern Steve visited on a Wednesday evening in September 2016. There were four or five other customers inside at 5:30pm, and a similar number outside. Music was playing, fairly quietly. Several real ales were on, including Belleville Thames Surf IPA, Belleville Northcote Blonde, and Harbour Amber Ale, and there was also at least one real cider.

According to their website as of September 2016, food is served 5pm-10pm Mon-Fri, noon-10pm Sat, and noon-8pm Sun, and is provided by a regularly-changing series of pop-ups (on our visit, it was Thai).

According to signs seen in September 2016, there's a quiz on Mondays and live music on the fourth Sunday of the month.

Accessibility: Three steps to the front decking, and three or four more into the pub, none with usable handrails. Toilets are down a narrow flight of stairs with a handrail on one side part of the way down.
