I Knit London is a club, shop and sanctuary for knitters on Lower Marsh, a historic market street in Waterloo, London.

IKL began as a weekly market stall at Spitalfields Market in early 2006 and has grown in 2 years to become a must-stop destination for any knitters, crocheters and yarnoholics in London. The shop stocks a wide range of yarns, with many British wools unavailable elsewhere in the capital, alongside many imports from the USA, Canada, Europe and Japan. The range includes cotton, wool, alpaca, silk and more, from some of the most well-known brands in knitting and many other smaller, independent producers. There is a huge range of knitting and craft books and patterns, plus needles and accessories from the likes of Clover, Brittany, Knitpicks, Addi and more.

IKL has a unique atmosphere; laidback, relaxed, independent. The shop doubles as a meeting place for their weekly knitting group (who also get out and about meeting in pubs across London too), and they hold regular events both in the shop and at other venues and they have regular classes, film nights, booksignings, workshops, spinning group and various crafty soirées, including London's first knitting-book group (The Kniterati).

I Knit London is the first knitting shop in the UK with a licence - their fully-stocked fridge includes Weston's Organic Cider, Brothers Pear Cider, bottled beers, wine and soft drinks. To keep up-to-date with meetings, new arrivals in the shop and knitty news you can sign up to their free weekly e-newsletter or join their groups on Facebook and Ravelry.
