A Wetherspoons pub in Bexleyheath, in the Good Beer Guide.

Inside, it's open and airy with plenty of light coming in. A seating area down some stairs overlooking the square has booths along one edge and capacious and comfortable couches by the windows, along with bookshelves to break up the open plan space. On ground level, in front of the bar, there are plenty more smaller square tables stretching back fairly far.

Kake, Ewan, bob, and Matthew visited on a Sunday afternoon in April 2009. There were a fair few people in, but due to the size of the place we had no trouble finding a table. The six handpumps on the bar offered Ruddles, Abbot Ale, Marston Pedigree, and Triple fff Altons Pride, with a couple of other guests marked as "coming soon".

Note: This was formerly one of Wetherspoons' youth-friendly Lloyds No. 1 brand, and allegedly accounted for half of all pub "glassing" incidents in the Metropolitan Police Bexleyheath district, but it was refurbished and renamed at the end of 2006 and is now far more inviting.

Accessibility: Step-free access to bar, part of the seating area, and the accessible toilet (to the left of the bar, near the ladies'). The regular gents' are down two steps and up another two steps, and if you want the cubicles there are two more steps.
