Young's pub across the road from Liverpool Street Station, in the Good Beer Guide.
The beer is certainly drinkable. Special was about £3/pint.
The pubs.com review says food is served noon-3pm, 4:30pm-9pm Mon-Fri and noon-5pm Sat-Sun, but I don't know how up to date that is.
The Beer in the Evening comments suggest that it's a little expensive.
