It used to be called the Cock & Dragon photo, and was part of a chain run by the Orchid Group (see earlier version of this page for more details). However, it has now been taken over by Mitchells & Butlers and renamed to the Cock Inn. |
Note: When we last visited, it was part of a chain run by the Orchid Group. However, the pubs in chain have mainly now been transferred to other operators. This may also be the case with the Cock & Dragon, and hence some of the information below may be out of date. |

It's quite smart inside, with subtle decor in shades of light grey. Large stone tiles cover the floor, giving way to interesting abstract designs further back. Entry is into a bar area with comfortable seating, and the space leads around to the left to more seating; at the very back, through an ornate wooden arch, is the entrance to a restaurant area. |
They serve regular pub food at lunchtimes (noon-2:30pm) and Thai food lunchtimes and evenings photo of the Thai menu as of September 2007. |

Kake visited on a Thursday afternoon in November 2017. There were a fair few people in when I arrived around 2:15pm, including a large group just finishing lunch. Music was playing quietly, and there was a good buzz of conversation too. It quietened down as the afternoon went on, until there were just two other customers when I left at 4:45pm. |
bob visited on a Saturday afternoon in September 2010. The real ales available were Woodforde Wherry (£3.40/pint), Greene King IPA, and Young's London Gold. The Wherry was fine. |

Two of the four handpumps were clipped, for London Pride and Brains' The Rev James Gold. A pint of lime and soda was £2. |
I also tried some food; the pad ped gaprow neau (£6.90) photo. This was hot enough even for my palate, and came with a lot of gravy. |

They have WiFi via O2, which is free but requires registration. |
According to the 2011 Good Beer Guide, they have an extensive rear garden including a covered heated area. |

Accessibility: Two steps at the front entrance, one of them quite large. There's a short but steep ramp round the side leading to a fire exit which might be able to be used for step-free entrance with advance notice, but we haven't checked this. Once you're in, there's no steps to the ladies' (but there are two heavy doors and a tight turn), and the cubicle doors open outwards. According to the Cock Inn website as of November 2017, food is served noon-10pm Mon-Thu, noon-10:30pm Fri-Sat, and noon-9pm Sun. |
