Golden Lion, DA6 8BE

Pub in Bexleyheath, on the corner of Broadway and West Street. It's part of the Stonegate Pub Company, in their Great Traditional Pubs sub-brand.

It's fairly obviously a chain pub, with large printed posters in the windows offering deals on food and drink. Inside, there are a few sofas near the door, a pool table beyond the bar, access to a beer garden at the back, and several TV screens.

Kake, bob, Ewan, and Matthew visited on a Sunday evening in April 2009. The only real ale available was Bombardier. They also had Becks Vier. Although there weren't all that many customers in, sport was showing on the screens with the sound playing through enough speakers that we couldn't find anywhere that would let us talk without shouting, so we moved on fairly quickly.

Accessibility: Step-free access to the bar and seating area, and there's a dedicated accessible toilet. One step up to get to the beer garden though.
